USB market sprouts wooden Flash drive

It's got a sort of earthy, ecowarrior appeal, we suppose. Yes, someone's taken a 2GB USB Flash drive and embedded it in a wooden case complete with rough string neckband.

We're not entirely sure why, given the fact that computer technology and gadgetry are hardly green - quite the reverse, if anything. But at least with one of these you can not only can you carry a heap of files around, but you'll be able to do so without looking like some total tech-head.

But there is some fun to be had: clasp it frequently to your bosom, mutter strange invocations to ineffable pagan gods and worry the bejaysus out of passers-by and fellow Tube passengers... Proclaim it the symbol of the Church of the Lucid USB Key and see how many wealthy followers you can rally to your cause...

What kind of wood the drive's made out of we can't say, which may limit its appeal to holly hewing folk of the Druidic persuasion.
