It's been some time since digital music player maker iRiver made a splash in the UK, but its Flash-based X20 might just be the device to make waves in this iPod-dominated nation.

The X20 sports a 2.2in, 320 x 240 LCD to display photos, video and song details. The control's a rotary dial linked to a neat-looking circular user interface ready to select any of these modes - or the X20's built-in FM radio. The player supports the Ogg audio format in addition to MP3 and WMA.

The player is available in 2, 4 and 8GB models, but each as a Micro SD memory card slot for more media storage. The X20's removable battery delivers up to six hours' video playback and up to 22 hours' music playback, iRiver claims.
