The N77 uses the DVB-H digital TV standard - a handset-friendly variation of DVB-T technology used to broadcast digital television to set-top boxes. Its cellular connectivity comes courtesy of UMTS 3G and tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE links.

Nokia also pitched the S60 handset's music and VisualRadio FM-with-pictures support. The phone has a two-megapixel camera for still and video photography.
