The more politically aware among El Reg's readership might already know that the Prime Minister's office is beta testing an online petition system.

This is presumably to reduce the number of long-haired hippies they have to let walk down Downing Street to deliver armfuls of signatures. It might be to do with saving trees. We find it hard to believe that it as anything to do with listening to the public, but that is another rant, for another day.

To return to the point: Reg reader Colin has sent us a wonderful example of democracy in action, and we would like to support it. So, anyone who wants to see Tony Blair juggle more ice-cream - and let's be honest, who wouldn't? - please point your browser here and sign up.

Incidentally, while you are there, you might want to take a moment and sign the petition here calling for ID cards to be scrapped. You never know. ®
