Jonathan Reed, the "bored geek" who last year offered one lucky girl the chance of accompanying him on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Antigua, is back on eBay reselling himself to the UK's geekette demographic.

Jonathan ReedSadly, the Antigua gig didn't work out - not, we hasten to add, as a result of a lack of females willing to "top and tail" in the Caribbean - but rather because eBay intervened.

Jonathan explains: "EBay took it offline last minute and I never found anyone to go with. This year I'm still single and have decided to add another ebay item - maybe you would like to do a story on it and maybe get me some coverage and I can actually have a holiday with someone I like !!"

Oh, alright then. Here's the latest pitch:

I'm offering for sale a ticket that entitles you to a short break somewhere new and exciting over the Christmas or New Year Period. I wanna get away and dont have anyone to go with...

I'm single, 31, employed as a Software Manager, no ex wife, no kids, own home, hobbies include keeping fit in the gym, motorbike and car racing and looking to cheer up my festive season.

The ideal person would be in a similar single position, aged 18-30 and looking to get away. Holiday can be decided - this is for the ticket - therefore I am within the EBay rules.... The holiday can be bought between us and my budget is between short break in UK to full blown holiday anywhere in the world.

I can SCUBA dive and can read books.... Holiday is your choice!

Crikey girls, jump to it: the bloke can read and everything. ®

Jonathan specifically asked us not to call him a "geek". Request denied.
