Site News Reg Hardware is expanding. We're inviting applications for the following two posts: Reviews Editor and Reporter...

Reviews Editor, Reg Hardware

Following a strong launch in January 2006, Register Hardware, the leading personal hardware-focused website and sister-site to The Register, is looking for a Reviews Editor to take our rapidly expanding product reviews coverage into an even more successful second year.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a technology magazine or website labs environment evaluating exciting new products and communicating the benefits and the buzz to a technology-hungry readership. You'll have an eye for detail, and feel right at home planning out the site's reviews section, calling on your contacts to get the latest products ahead of the herd, and keeping our stable of freelance writers sated with new kit.

You'll be contributing reviews to the site yourself, so product-centric writing experience is essential. You should be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of computer hardware, gadgets, mobile phones and consumer electronics, and do so with wit and flair.

We provide an attractive salary, and your very own perch in our Central London HQ. To apply, send your CV, details of your current salary, links to three articles available to be read online, and a covering letter explaining why you're the best bod for the job. Applications should be emailed to the Editor, Register Hardware at cvs@theregister.co.uk with the subject line 'Reviews Editor'.

This is a UK-based post, and we are only able to consider candidates who already have permission to work in the UK. Closing date: 28 October 2006.
