Enterprise messaging company Good Technology today announced the roll out the IBM Lotus Domino version of its push email server, taking the opportunity to re-brand its offerings while it was about it. So it's farewell GoodLink, hello Good Mobile Messaging (GMM).

Good announced its plan to ship GMM on Domino almost a year ago. With Domino second only to Microsoft Exchange Server as the enterprise collaboration tool of choice - it's in 42 per cent of the worldwide Fortune 5000 firms, to MES' 45 per cent, Good said - the email firm is looking to today's commercial launch to get its software into rather more than the 8000 companies around the world already using GMM.

GMM for Domino is due to ship in July. According to the company, its client software is ready for the upgrade, which will provide the same push email, contact and calendar information as the MES version. Good's client code runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, Symbian and Palm operating systems - Good likes to tout its device independence and the range of gadgets and form-factors its software runs on.

Good's other tools, Good Access and Good Control have also been made over and now form the basis for Good Mobile Intranet and Good Mobile Defense, which extend GMM with intranet access and security policy implementation for mobile devices, though the latter only works with "select" Windows Mobile 5.0 devices. ®
