The public's passion for all things pink has found a new outlet: a salmon-hued version of Motorola's SLVR phone. A sibling of the better-known L7, the rose-tinted release - to be offered exclusively through UK retail chain Carphone Warehouse, it seems - is the L6.

Unsurprisingly perhaps, the handset is being offered with a T-Mobile £5-a-month tariff which you have to accept for at least 18 months. That's sufficient to get you the handset for free. T-Mobile is keen on pink product, having already offered rosé-coloured versions of its MDA Compact PDA phone and Motorola's RAZR V3.

The L6 offers 10MB of memory; quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity; 128 x 160, 65,536-colour display; VGA camera with 4x digital zoom; 345-hour stand-by time; 350-minute talk time; Bluetooth; 86g weight. It has the same 11.3 x 4.9 x 1.1cm dimensions as the L7. ®
