There's always one, isn't there? As the world teeters on the brink of avian apocalypse, some eBay bright spark has decided to cash in on bird flu frenzy by offering the following tasty UK licence plate:

That tasty licence plate in full

Well, it's excitement almost beyond human endurance, as the blurb demonstrates:

Bird Flu licence plate – HN51 FLU

Excellent plate for vets, doctors or scientists!

You are bidding on a V750 certificate for the UK registration mark “HN51 FLU”.

This would be an ideal plate for a vet or a doctor and will turn heads!

Bird flu is almost in the UK, this plate could well be undervalued so could well be an excellent, if not controversial, investment for the future!

Well, bidding for this excellent investment for the future starts at a modest £8,999. It would be an even more excellent investment were the plate to read H5N1 FLU - but since we'll all be dead within a month perhaps we're being just a little pedantic. ®
