Police are questioning a Cambridgeshire mother who allegedly used a webcam to keep an eye on her three children while she went on a jaunt to Germany.

The woman, who hasn't been named, was arrested yesterday on "suspicion of child abandonment and neglect", the BBC reports.

She kept in touch with her children aged 13, 10 and eight by using a webcam hooked up to the net.

The woman, from Peterborough, said she went to Germany for five days to pick up some belongings but could not afford to take her kids with her. ®
