Graham Wylie, co-founder of Sage, has bought IT services company Nordic Data. Wylie made the purchase through Technology Services Group which he established last autumn.

Wylie, who left Sage last year, says he wants to make TSG the IT reseller of choice for small and medium businesses in the north-east. Nordic Data, based in Edinburgh, extends this ambition further north.

Norman Weibye, managing director at Nordic Data, is "delighted that Graham Wylie has chosen our business as the first part of TSG's expansion into Scotland. Graham is renowed for his part in making Sage a huge success story and we are very confident that with his vision and leadership, TSG will continue to grow."

Wylie said: "We are delighted that Nordic Data, one of the largest Sage resellers in Scotland, is now part of TSG. Nordic is a well-respected, well run business with highly skilled people, which is why their service standards are extremely high. Our aim is to make TSG the IT supplier of choice in the Edinburgh region; Nordic Data is the cornerstone of this strategy and we have plans to expand the business in the near future."

TSG has offices in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Manchester and Edinburgh with more than 120 staff looking after 5,000 SME clients. ®
