Morse, Europe's biggest Sun dealer, has bought a City management consultancy business called CSTIM. Terms are undisclosed.

CSTIM clients are in the financial services sector, Morse's biggest vertical market. The firm has 60 staff based in London, Luxembourg, Edinburgh, Jersey and Cape Town. It will continue to operate under its own name.

In essence, Morse is buying its way to an earlier stage in the technology buying process. CSTIM advises what to buy and Morse has plenty of people to do the installation and makes sure that it all hangs together.

Or as David Beresford, Morse's UK country director, puts it: "Morse and CSTIM have complementary strengths, which will be able to deliver business-led consulting services and solutions to our combined client base. The partnership will be particularly attractive to clients who prefer a single relationship as a means of reducing cost and de-risking projects." ®
