HP is still top vendor for PCs sold through business resellers across Europe.

In the seven major countries in Europe, HP accounted for 40 per cent of all PC sales in 2003. Fujitsu Siemens Computers was in second place with 12 per cent of sales, up from 10.5 per cent last year. IBM came third with 9.3 per cent market share, up from 8.9 per cent the year before.

Acer is in fourth place with 8.1 per cent - helped by strong laptop sales in the last quarter of 2003.

Toshiba, in fifth place, has 6 per cent of the market, down from 6.7 per cent last year. Context blamed increased competition in some markets for Toshiba's poor performance.
