Suffolk-based ISP Fast24 is reducing the price difference between standard 512Kbps, and faster 1Mbps and 2Mbps flavours of ADSL with its introduction of higher-speed broadband services next month.

Fast24's RapidPlay 1 MBit ADSL is priced at £27.50 per month and its RapidPlay 2 MBit ADSL service at £37.49 per month (both prices including UK sales tax).

Both services offer a 50:1 contention ratio and are set to go live on 12 August.

To encourage punters to sign up, Fast24 is offering a half-priced line activation of £29.38 until the end of July (the normal price is £58.75).

Fast24's 512Kbps package costs £22.50 per month inclusive. Fast24 will waive the administration charge for upgrading to its 1MB or 2MB services during August, for any customers who sign up for any of its 512Kbps services now. ®
