Brightview Ltd - the independent outfit that owns ISPs including callnet, ic24, madasafish and Totalise - has gone into administration.

Brightview was put into administration on Wednesday after a demand was made on the company by one of its creditors.

It is understood that the administration follows a dispute among shareholders.

According to administrators, David Rubin and Partners, the business will survive as a whole and in its existing format. It is the debt and equity structure that will be changed by the administration order, they said, as part of an overall financial restructuring of the company.

A swift resolution to the matter is expected shortly.

The Register has been told that customers of Brightview's many ISPs should experience no disruption to their service while the company is in administration.

No one from Brightview was available for comment at the time of writing. ®
