Yahoo! has won an interim injunction preventing an Indian tea company from marketing its products using the Yahoo name.

A judge at the Delhi High Court called on the Sarda Trading Company and those involved in selling, distributing and marketing the tea to stick the kettle on and take a tea break until the matter is resolve.

Another hearing is due on March 10, according to a report from the Asia Times Online.

While Yahoo! is well known for Net stuff, you may be forgiven for not having seen its distinctive name next to boxes of PG Tips and Typhoo on a supermarket shelf.

Yahoo! argued that it is an international brand and does licence its mark for food stuffs such as sweets, chocolates and ice-cream. ®
