First the techies, then the commercial staff: the job cuts at Vizzavi,, have been coming thick and fast.

Now we know the expensively furnished JV between Vivendi and Vodafone is shutting down its UK ISP on October 29.

All accounts are to be transferred to Virgin.net's slightly more expensive service -£13.49 per month v. £12.99.

The company has produced a Migration FAQ.

Vizzavi lives on as a mobile portal, but for how long?
And will it need that huge office space in the old Shell-Mex building on the Strand? When we visited the company in London last year, there were more than 400 employees. ®
