New thomas.greene spam circulating

Filter me!

A spam message with no subject, a from-field containing "thomas.greene" and a return addy of thomas.greene@theregister.co.uk is circulating. Since it's impossible for me to use the SMTP service at El Reg from outside the office, it's clearly a forgery. I always use a different SMTP server.

To filter the offending pink substance without ditching legitimate messages from me, simply filter on 'from' and thomas.greene. Don't filter on thomas c. greene or thomas greene, which I use.

I'm certain this has nothing to do with my recent excoriation of a certain hacker-celebrity luser crew pretending to be security experts, and my revelation of their eagerness to rat out fellow hackers to the FBI.

No, I'm sure this is a coincidence. ®
