Dell shop cans beer based marketing bid?

What happens if blurb writers get too thirsty...

It must be a tedious and thirsty business in the Dell Shop blurb-writing department. Faced with the task of coming up with an attractive description of yet another laptop bag, somebody in there appears to have snapped recently. Even though the Belkin Bridge Street Case looks pretty attractive by the standards of such things (try writing blurbs for patch cables, kid).

You can find the current entry for this item here, but if you do a Google search for "dell beer case" then look at the cached version of the page, you'll find that the previous version of the harmless, nay, dull blurb was prefaced as follows:

"A case of beer over a Belkin Bridge Street Leather… Have you gone loco! Giving up the rich full grain leather, steel sandstone fittings and zippers. Ok, so a cerveza might be nice after a long day at the mobile office."

A promising talent nipped in the bud by humourless supervisors, we presume... ®
