Zen puts ADSL on hold

Temporary measure to preserve QoS

Zen Internet has suspended the processing of orders for ADSL until after the completion of a network upgrade.

The decision - described as a bold step by Lancashire-based Zen - has been taken to "preserve the quality of service to existing customers ahead of essential infrastructure upgrades".

Orders currently in the system will be fulfilled but any new ones - which Zen is happy to accept - will be delayed until after the work has been completed.

Zen - which has around 1,200 ADSL subscribers hopes to start processing orders again in around a month or so once a new 155Mbps central pipe has been installed.

An exact date as to when new orders will begin to be processed has yet to be confirmed. ®
