The fourth annual Integrators Forum (now called System Builders Summit Europe) takes place on May 16-19 in Monte Carlo. This will gather the top 200 system builders in Europe from 26 countries, representing more than 30 per cent of the European market.

Microsoft, AMD, Seagate, Pioneer, ATI, Hitachi Avenet, and Nvidia have already confirmed their presence by financing the event.

RM plc today announced that it has signed up more than a quarter of the UK's teachers to the Learning Schools Programme ICT training service. LSP is a joint venture with the Open University and it provides training through a £230 million Lottery funded ICT teacher training scheme.

Compaq has signed up Tony Deans, a former director of Thus, to run its call centre in Glasgow. Deans will have 400 people working for him, and his job is to manage the transition of the operation into something called a "contact solutions operation... (which) will place the internet at the core of all communications with customers."

Leadtek, the Taiwanese components maker, is setting up a

to target OEM and retail sectors here. The company's products, particularly graphics cards, are already sold in the UK through limited distribution. Terry Gardner joins Leadtek as General Manager for the region.

Leadtek has already released its latest graphics cards based on Nvidia’s new MX400 chipset for less than £115 inc VAT. Leadtek is currently setting up new distribution partners for the reseller channel as well as local support for its OEM customers.
