Toshiba has found space for 2GB of data on a PC Card hard disk drive - twice as much capacity as rival products, it claims.

The benefits of of a 2GB PC card are numerous: very portable storage, ideal for the mobile professional, perfect for transferring huge MPEG and JPEG files and so on.

So if you like the idea of being able to carry 40,000 Excel pages, or - God help you - a 5000-page Powerpoint presentation around with you in a 1.8in form factor this product is for you.

The card launches today in the UK and is expected to retail for around £299 plus VAT. ®
