Chipzilla's Irish fabs certainly know how to punch out groundbreaking technology. At least, if Gateway Ireland's Web site is anything to go by, they do.

Click of full sizeHow else to explain Gateway's exclusive deal on Intel's new 41.3GHz Pentium III? And it's cheap, too - the machine it's installed in, the E-4600, comes in at a mere (in the circumstances) £1783 excluding delivery and sales tax. No wonder Gateway calls the machine one of its current "Best Buys", listed on the company's Web site, here.

Gateway claims the E-4600 brings "state of the art Intel Pentium III processors to power-users in the business, education and public sector". Indeed it must, at that clock speed.
