In the general rush on Monday, a few P4 reviews which slipped through the net. So for those who haven't seen enough about Intel's latest offering, here's the latest issue of the Pentium 4 Times.

Firstly we traipse over to Gamers Depot to check out their thoughts. They seem impressed with Intel's efforts to "future proof" the chip, but again the lack of optimised software is noted.

Then on to JC's review. Never short of a word or two, JC lets rip: "In my opinion, it is absolutely unpardonable that there are nontrivial categories in which this processor, touted as Intel's finest, is threatened by their competition's value/cheapo chip, the Duron." Well, that told em.

And lastly on to Ace's Hardware. A little bit of a contest on this one, so check it out.

On the other hand, if you have had enough of Comdex and are sick to the back teeth of the P4 and fancy a little overclocking action then get over to Hexus. The boys have put together a no frills, traditional "lets see how fast we can make it go"

article

. Well, that'll be 1.4Ghz from a 1000MHz TBird. ®
