Photocopy your stack of CDs

For pirates wanting that professional touch

Although it is meant for genuine marketing people, O'Dixion's 'CD photocopier', Digimatic, will certainly prove useful to people in the software piracy business.

The printing device is designed for automatic duplication of CD batches from a master CD or from an image stored on a hard drive. It prints at 1440 dpi and can take up to 50 CDs at once.

So, once you've copied pirated data on to a stack of blank CDs, you can print professional looking labels too. With a teeny bit more copyright infringement anyway.

But it isn't cheap. So any wannabe pirates had better be serious about their new business, because at four grand a shot, this printer is a fairly substantial overhead.

Expect the launch in December this year with a network option arriving at some unspecified time in 2001.
