A British Net company is enticing new customers with the lure of two gallons of unleaded petrol.

Such is the panic caused by the great British fuel crisis, anyone who buys a PC from Surrey-based Intronets or signs up to its ISP before midnight, Thursday 14 September, will be entered into a draw.

The lucky five drawn from the hat will be invited down to Intronets' HQ in Sutton, to collect two gallons of petrol each, siphoned from two of the company cars.

Andrew Wicking, MD of Intronets, said: "We have two cars with full petrol tanks, which are not being used currently.

"We have seen all the panic caused by the lack of petrol, so we thought what better way to attract new business and help potential customers than by offering some much wanted petrol.

"The downside however is that I may be walking home," he said.

Let's hope whoever wins won't have to drive too far to pick up their winnings.

Oh, and if any other spivs out there has nylons, Hershey Bars or anything else that's rationed, can you give us first refusal please. ®
