Dr Tom's page gets hold of a truly beautiful, in the aesthetic sense, board today. But just because it is coated in platinum and other shiny bits doesn't mean it is a good board. The AX6BC Pro II 'Millennium Edition is review by Patrick Schmid here.

Lots of Asus A7V talk out there today:

Insane Hardware has posted an FAQ list from the A7V Resource Central. Click through. Answers to questions about ATA100 are the topic of the day.

Also from down under, there is a way to permanently disable the Promise ATA100 controller. Go here. This will also take you to the new online manual for the A7V. Resource-tastic!

Asus has also responded to Tweaktown's comments about the problems with the clips. The news is on their front page if you're feeling curious. The bottom line from the Tweakers is don't use a Global Win FNP50 with the board, or any other HSF with a pressure over 300G.

CPU Review has taken a peek at the new AMD x86-64 architecture. They conclude that it is an impressive achievement managing to extend the x86 architecture to 64 bits. Click
