'Avin' it LARGE

Clubbers largin' it in Ibiza can now email their wildest moments to their friends direct from the dancefloor.

Trendy lifestyle brand Spaced plans to get a series of 15 Internet pods lurking in the corners of the coolest nightspots on the Mediterranean island by the end of the summer.

They will allow clubbers to "get spaced" – i.e. for £2 they can use the touch screen device and get their photo taken, add a message, and email it to their friends.

The shiny silver pods will be backed by ads in specialist dance mags. The aim is to persuade clubbers of the benefits of sending a blurred image in a dark club surrounded by foam, rather than the traditional Spanish donkey postcard alternative.

One ad, apparently showing a couple playing tonsil hockey in preference to licking stamps, will sport the tagline "save your saliva for something else".

The email pods can already be found in 11 British nightclubs – and the company wants to have 100 of the cyber funmachines operating by the end of the year. The £2 fee will be split between Spaced and the nightclubs.

Only for the brave. ®
