We have a world first today. Slot A has posted its review of the Soltek 75KV Socket A ATX Motherboard. They speak very highly of it, ranking it as a contender for K7T Pro's current spot as Socket A over-clocking champion. Scores a very respectable nine out of ten.

Those nutty Aussies at Insane Hardware have done a little piece on Asus's forthcoming offering in the Video Accelerators line, based on nVidia's geForce2 MX chipset (designed for the more mainstream gamer, or those on a smaller budget than the GNP of a small country). Check the site out for full specs, the pictures and a few comments along the way.

Little tiny pieces of silicon fly in the Celeron vs Duron grudge match at Planet Hardware. Check out the specs on each CPU as they square up, and watch as the Celeron goes down six rounds in a row, somehow managing to cling on for one tie. However, Planet doesn't think the Celeron is dead yet, but pronounces the Duron undisputed champion.

Ace's Hardware has links to the next generation roadmaps of Matrox and ATI. Perhaps, they speculate, nVidia now has some competition. Hmm, we remain unconvinced, but you can never tell. Click your way over there for more details.

And to round things off, rather in the manner of cheese and biscuits after a nice meal, MDK2 gets the Sharky treatment. Now you can be any one of three characters at different stages of the game; Doc's only weapon is a toaster and some sliced bread; Max can hold four weapons - one in each paw; and Kurt has the "coolest implementation of a sniping rifle". The site also has a multitude of screen shots to check out. Overall, the game gets a big pat on the back with a score of 9.5 out of 10.®
