A flock of system builders are set to descend on Monte Carlo this week to attend the Integrator Forum 2000.

The Mediterranean sunshine has attracted 206 PC builders from 26 European countries to this year's event. Also attending will be 66 manufacturers, keen to promote their wares as the champagne flows.

Vendors at the conference at the Meridian Beach Plaza hotel will include 3Com, 3dfx, AMD, Corel, Hitachi, Intel, Logitech and Microsoft. They will be brushing shoulders with likes of Elonex, Mesh Computers, Watford Electronics, Dabs Direct, Centerprise and Simply Computers.

Industry figures spouting their wisdom on the future of the PC industry at the four day event will include Rob Eckelmann, VP of Intel Europe, Thomas Bauer, Microsoft OEM sales director, and analyst Howard Seabrook from the Gartner Group.

Representatives from Gartner are expected to be in full attendance as the company has just bought the Integrator Forum – which is in its second year - for an undisclosed amount.

The Register will also be there with beach towel and laptop to keep you posted on events. ®
