Pay attention all you Trekkies out there, Time Computers has roped in Spock to star in its latest advertising campaign. Leonard Nimoy will be making his first appearance for Time tonight at 7:45, while Coronation Street's on. Using the tagline that its PCs are Time machines (and after a fashion, that's exactly what they are) the company has moved on from last year's ad campaign, which featured happy looking customers buying PCs from helpful looking sales staff. In a release sent to The Register's offices this afternoon, Time said: "Nimoy acknowledges that time travel is not yet possible, but explains the future is available through a 'Time Machine' PC." The advert, we are told, was shot on location in Los Angeles, at the Mount Wilson Observatory – as featured in the films Deep Impact and Armageddon. The campaign will run until Christmas and promotes the £35 million software give-away Time is running in conjunction with the Times newspaper. ®
