Microsoft to cut down Win98 for Chinese market

Machines ain't what they used to be

Exclusive Mao Tse Tung dominated the Chinese market for many years and made many people miserable, to boot. But now Microsoft's Bill Gates seems to want to be the new Mao. We have heard extremely reliable reports that Microsoft will, very soon, introduce a cut down version of Win98 for Mao's market. We suppose that is democracy in action. But why can't the rest of the world have the same thing? Is it because machines in Red China are cheap, or what?
