Japanese enthusiast Kikumara has emailed The Register to say that he has found a way to use Intel's PGA 370-Socket package in a dual configuration. That will allow people to build dual processor systems using the cheaper Celeron processor rather than the Pentium II chips. (Story: SMP Celerons hacked together) He had already managed to link together two Slot One Celerons, and overclocked them, but Intel is building in clock protection to its new production parts. However, Celerons are being positioned as speedy parts, so the task might still be worth the candle. ®
