Live in the middle of nowhere? CONGRATS. Some of you can pay EE for 4G

The denizens of 12 farflung towns across the United Kingdoms received a bit of good news today after EE continued its rollout of 4G.

A total of 187 towns across the UK are now covered by EE's 4G, with the latest well-connected places including world-class conurbations like Macclesfield, Burnley and Bridgend.

Olaf Swantee, chief executive officer at EE, said: “Our 4G rollout is continuing at an industry-leading pace, reaching more and more people in places right across the UK. We're connecting major towns to make sure that consumers, commuters and businesses have 4G where they live and where they work. As well as expanding our 4G network into new areas, our teams are switching on new 4G sites in our existing 4G cities and towns to make the EE network experience even better.”

From today, EE 4G will be available in Antrim, Coleraine and Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland; Bridgend and Pontypool in Wales; Livingston in Scotland; and Burnley, Leigh, Macclesfield, Nuneaton, Sittingbourne and Tamworth in England.

These hotspots will now benefit from superfast internet access on mobiles, tablets and laptops. ®
