El Reg seeks new mobile, wireless tech writer - could it be YOU?

The Register is looking for a new mobile and wireless technology correspondent to work out of our London newsroom. Realistic contenders for the job will already be thoroughly familiar with The Reg: it will be of interest however that the worldwide editorial team is currently expanding based on sound business performance.

The successful candidate will already have a solid record of experience covering the mobile and wireless sectors for one or more specialist B2B technology publications, and will have expert knowledge and contacts covering the relevant companies, agencies, politics and regulatory background across all the key markets. Technical expertise in the underlying engineering and physics would also be highly desirable, and some knowledge of the wider telecoms and networking field is essential. This is not a gadget or app correspondent's job, but familiarity with the device end of the ecosystem is also required. Willingness and ability to step outside the specialist area will be needed occasionally.

The position is based in our central London offices, and involves frequent travel. Competence in photography would be an advantage.

CVs with brief covering notes to pkunert<at>theregister.com please. ®
