iCloud outage outrage: Look, iPhoto friends, kitty just learned to... NOOO

Millions affected by outage in Apple's online services

Apple's iCloud is suffering an outage that has resulted in millions of fanbois being unable to access the service.

According to Apple's own status page, there are currently issues with photo stream, documents in the cloud, backup and iPhoto journals, which some fanbois use to share snaps on Facebook.

Around 1 per cent of all users are affected. Seeing as Apple's iCloud userbase numbers about 300 million, this means close to 3 million people can't message, or back up and save documents and pictures.

The problems started on Wednesday at 21.30 Pacific Time (5am on Thursday BST).

An earlier issue with the iTunes store locked out 16.6 per cent of its users, leaving them unable to make purchases.

Apple's fanboi-to-fanboi iMessage service is also down.

The status page said: "Users may also be unable to send or download attachments in iMessage." ®
