Final call – free Hyper V training

All from the comfort of your desk

When we do our broadcasts we’re often asked if we can show you how to use the abilities that our experts describe. So, tomorrow at 11:00 BST we’ve got 60 minutes of live training on how to take advantage of the improvements and new features of virtual machine migration with Hyper-V 3.0 and Windows Server 2012.

We’re teaming up with training provider QA to do the deepest of deep dives for you. And you can join in for free.

The Virtual machine migration options have completely changed since the last Windows Server release and Paul Gregory, QA's Principle Technologist for Windows Server and Virtualisation, will join Tim Phillips in the studio to demonstrate how it works in Windows Server 2012.

Paul will describe mobility between shared storage nodes, virtual machine migration without shared storage, network virtualisation. He’ll also discuss how network virtualisation leads to cross subnet migration, enabling virtual machine migration to other data centres either within an organisation or to a hoster or service provider, highlighting the technologies which mean you can burst to the cloud.

There will be live demonstrations of how to set up many of these features and Tim will be fielding your live questions during the hour. As with all our Regcasts, we like your questions - the harder the better.

You can join us for free right here. If you register we'll send you a reminder tomorrow and let you know when the on-demand version is available. Or, you can just click here to add it to your calendar (*.ics file).

We hope to see you tomorrow for what promises to be a hugely useful gig.
