April 1 has come and gone for another year and as usual the technology industry got up to no good.

It’s hard not to like Atlassian’s new product: IRKD. The app does for the real world what the company’s JIRA product does for the real world, namely let you list bugs and make them someone else’s problem.

Sony slipped out the mutant offspring of the iPod Nano and the Ultrabook and ThinkGeek, which has a history of getting into trouble with its April 1 products, came up with Hungry, Hungry Hippos for iPad.

Gartner's 'Magic Fractals' had us going for a minute or two, as did this one about a sabre-toothed lemming.

Toshiba did well with some new shapes for tablets, like the heart below.

Google’s new Chrome Multitask Mode will generate some chuckles, thanks to its “ambinavigation revolution”. Google also offered Maps for the Nintendo NES, a new Really Advanced Search product and a self-driving NASCAR hoax.

YouTube offered the chance to buy all of YouTube on DVD, vinyl or laser disc.
