PlayStation Network downloads limited to two devices

Activation restraints

Sony announced today that future games purchased on the PlayStation Network will only be granted activation on two devices at any one time - down from the current number of five.

While that applies to all PS3 owners and anyone with a PSP of some kind, have no fear, there is an easy workaround.

The company is introducing an online account manager system that will let users deactivate devices remotely, technically making the activation process limitless.

Just how many machines do you need to run your downloads on anyway?

The changes take effect on 18 November 2011 for any purchases madeon or after that date. Sony said they new rule will not apply to any content you already own. ®
