Hey Commentards! [This title is optional]

Site news Yesterday, we added three new features for Reg commentards.

• The most obvious - and many of you spotted this already - is that commenters no longer have to write a title to accompany their post. We like headlines but many of you don't, so this is our gift to you.

• We have introduced a new sorting option - now can you arrange by time of posting - ascending or descending, In due course we may add sort fields - by thumbs up / thumbs down score, for instance. Sorting is associated with your Reg account, so as long as you're logged in, it's remembered across browsers / computers.

• Lastly, if you post anonymously you don't get to pick an icon. All Anon posts get a V for Vendetta mask instead.

El Reg Forums houses all live reader posts and you get there via a link on the sub-nav bar on our front page. At time of writing our forums are home to more than 1.1 million comments, with 1,000 or so posts added each working day.

Can of worms

Currently, all posts must be attached to a parent Reg story, but we are thinking of opening up forums to reader-generated threads. ®
