Peaches Geldof explains Kubrick's 2001

Peaches Geldof is taking a bit of a shoeing down at Twitter for cracking one of the great conundrums of our time in 140 characters or less – just WTF Stanley Kubrick's 2001 is all about.
Ms Geldof allegedly tweeted: "I reckon 2001 is about the evolution of man, and the idea of god being imbued in both man, machine and the esoteric great architect Other."
We'd normally be a tad suspicious that Geldof is indeed responsible for this mind-boggling revelation, but she's got previous form down at Nylon magazine. Her sensational insight into New York City prompted our own roving blogger to offer this tribute to Birmingham.
When pressed to offer his own explanation of deeper meaning of 2001, he twittered: "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that." ®
