Robots form band, rock out to Marilyn Manson

Droids are back in town

The music world is a difficult cookie to crack. In most cases, all revenue is funnelled into a cigar-smoking businessman's pocket after a group of robots churn out some pre-programmed bollocks.

But when the robots are programmed to act like humans and not the other way around, things start to get interesting.

Here we see the 'EOL Robot Band' cover Marilyn Manson's The Beautiful People. It does quite a good job of it too.

The group is made up of a robotic cello, guitar, drummer and the all important scanner, all meticulously programmed and fitted with mechanics to rock out to the gothic anthem almost perfectly.

YouTube uploader bd594 is no stranger to robotic music and has posted various footage of other covers from the B52's Rock Lobster to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

Blow up a few dolls, add some dark lighting with smoke machines, and we might not notice much of a difference. Rave against the machine, baby. ®
