Accused autistic hacker Ryan Cleary freed on bail

Ryan Cleary, the alleged hacker behind the attack on Soca's website, has been freed on bail.
Cleary denies the charge. He is also accused of using denial of service attacks against websites run by copyright lobbyists the British Phonographic Industry and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
The 19-year old had been inside for seven days after his arrest last week.
He was originally granted bail on Saturday, but the prosecution unsuccessfully appealed that decision. Cleary, diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome while in custody, will return to court at the end of August. He will answer five charges under the Computer Misuse Act and Criminal Law Acts.
He must wear an electronic tag as part of his bail conditions and his Mum promised the court he would not be allowed online. She said she was relieved to have him home and was not sure he could have coped with much longer on remand.
His defence solicitor told the Daily Mail: "One thing that is positive from this case is that the British police are investigating and appear to be accepting jurisdiction."
There were fears that Cleary would be deported to face charges in the US. ®
