Sony adds Sky News to Bravia net TVs

Whatever you think of Sky news, the fact is you can now view it on internet-connected Sony Blu-ray Disc players and Bravia TVs.

It's an odd choice given that Sky News is already broadcast over Freeview, and you'd expect viewers would chose to watch the 24-hour rolling news channel that way rather than streamed over the network.

Still, marks to Sony for increasing the amount of online content that its tellies and BD players can present. Sky joins Sony's own video rental service, Qriocity, along with Lovefilm, BBC iPlayer, Eurosport and others.

Owners of internet connected TVs and set-tops from Sony need to select their kit's Refresh Internet Content option to view Sky. ®
