QLogic loses sales and marketing SVP

Resigns to be CEO of cloud service provider

QLogic's world-wide SVP for sales and marketing, Scot Genereux, has resigned to become the CEO of a cloud service provider.

QLogic itself gained a new CEO in October when Simon Biddiscombe was promoted to CEO from chief financial officer, with long-term incumbent CEO HK Desai moving upstairs to become executive chairman.

QLogic's senior director for corporate communications, Steve Zivanic, said the resignation is effective from November 12th and: "This move has absolutely nothing to do with the appointment of new CEO Simon Biddiscombe at QLogic."

Obviously being offered a CEO role at any company takes more than 1.5 weeks to finalize. We wish Scott the very best as he embarks on the next step of his career to be a CEO and lead a company. We have begun an executive search for Scott's replacement already."

Genereux' new company has yet to identify itself and make an announcement about its new CEO. ®
