Leica launches its first geo-tagging compact
V-Lux 20 makes its debut
Leica has introduced its first camera with integrated geo-tagging able to stamp snaps with your location anywhere in the world... except China, apparently.
The camera also supports the new SDXC memory card format.
The compact, 103 x 62 x 33mm V-Lux 20 has a 12.1Mp sensor and a 12x optical zoom. The lens runs from 4.1mm to 49.2mm - 25-300mm in 35mm terms. There's a 3in, 460,800-pixel LCD on the back with a 100 per cent field of view.
For video buffs, it'll shoot 720p material at 60f/s. The V-Lux 20 has an HDMI port.
The Leica has 15MB of on-board memory that's readily expandable with SDHC and SDXC memory cards.
Leica claimed the V-Lux 20's 895mAh battery is good for 300 standard shots.
The V-Lux 20 goes on sale next month for around £495. ®
