WIN a Pogoplug 2 DIY cloud computing gadget

Your drives shared on the network

Competition The Pogoplug 2 from Cloud Engines connects your storage - external HDDs and USB Flash keys - to your own network and the wider internet beyond it. And we have one to give away to a lucky Reg Hardware reader.

Cloud Engines Pogoplug

CE's brightly coloured gadget - you can read our review here - packs in a trio of USB 2.0 ports on the back and a fourth on the front. Hook 'em up with hard drives then connect the Pogoplug's Gigabit Ethernet port to your router and you're ready to go.

Even if that doesn't take your fancy, its Linux-derived open source OS has already spawned a community of hackers who've installed their own distro and apps on top, bringing new functionality to the hardware.

The Pogoplug is ready to be connected to through a web UI - or there are Windows, Mac OS X and Linux apps ready to mount its drives onto your computer's desktop.
