Oz watchdog nips Pammie Anderson's bikini-clad ass

Domain outfit's TV ad 'crosses line of decency'

Oz's Advertising Standards Bureau has declared that fantasy bikini-clad minxes hosed with cream in a slo-mo cavort is not a legitimate way to punt an internet domain registration outfit:

The ASB received 40 complaints over the ad for Perth-based Crazy Domains. Viewer analysis concluded the video was "all about sex, got nothing to do with domains, unless it's to start a porn site", and "overtly sexist and exploitative".

ASB chief exec Fiona Jolly agreed, and said: "It's meant to be a cheeky, over-the-top depiction but in the bureau's view it did cross the line."

Cue a ban from Australian TV, while Crazy Domains MD Gavin Collins fingered "feminist bloggers" for encouraging unimpressed viewers to voice their disapproval. ®
