B&W commits to cans
Unveils first headphone design
Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) has made the jump from stationary audio gadgets to mobile music, launching its first ever pair of headphones.
Bowers & Wilkins' P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones
The P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones supposedly combine “natural, unfatiguing performance” with a design able to isolate enough noise to ensure that the cans don’t require full electronic noise cancellation.
B&W also said that the P5 headphone’s earcups and padded headband have been clad in the “softest sheep leather”.
Instead of being wireless, the P5 headphones are supplied with a ‘Made For iPod’ approved cable – allowing for speech and device control – and standard audio cable with gold-plated plugs.
Music lovers will be able to buy the P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones in January next year. A price hasn’t been heard of, yet. ®
