GScreen's Spacebook: has two 15.4in side-by-side screens

Designed by GScreen and called Spacebook, the machine will have two 15.4in displays for buyers to gaze at. The left-hand screen slides in behind the right-hand panel, but both can be used simultaneously.

GScreen hopes to launch a whole series of dual-screen Spacebooks, a move which could see 13in, 16in and 17in versions released.

The initial 15in model will include a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, 4GB of DDR 2 Ram and unspecified Nvidia graphics.

The machine will also come with a 320GB hard drive, a choice of a six- or nine-cell battery, and one HDMI port.

GScreen hopes to get the Spacebook into shops by December, with Amazon lined up as one potential online retailer. But prices haven’t emerged yet. ®
